Behavioral Health Palm Beach- The Recovery Center for Men

ABOUT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PALM BEACH – THE RECOVERY CENTER FOR MEN

Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches (BHOPB), a luxury 12-step addiction treatment center, offers recovery for men at a sprawling, well-appointed stucco facility in North Palm Beach.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

BHOPB specializes in co-occurring disorders, which it treats using evidence-based practices. In addition, there are supplemental therapies twice weekly including EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), hypnotherapy, acupuncture, equine therapy, massage, and meditation. Intake and a five-day detox take place at a health clinic-like location in Lake Worth. Clients are then triaged into the gender-specific program.

Day-to-day life looks something like this: after breakfast, clients attend a one-hour, coed community meeting. Following that, clients attend group sessions that are the foundation of treatment and provide a forum for discussing a range of disorders, including alcohol addiction, sex addiction, chemical dependency, and anger management. The day ends with an AA or NA meeting.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The clinical staff at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches is comprised of credentialed and experienced medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical therapists. As experts in their respective fields, each brings years of training and experience to those attending the facility.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Notably, residential accommodations are based on tiered pricing. Tier one offers basic, 70’s-style coed condos. Tier Two includes the women’s and men’s residential centers set in lush tropical landscapes, and the top tier offers oceanfront seaside resort residences in West Palm Beach and Singer Island. Top tier clients detox separately from the lower tiers. Meals include organic ingredients and are prepared by gourmet chefs.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

BHOPB claims that 69 percent of its patients who successfully complete their treatment program do not relapse within the first six months of recovery; the industry standard for successful post-treatment recovery is 16 to 20 percent. Stats are subject to interpretation, but alumni who were interviewed by Best-rehabs.com uniformly gave high marks to the men’s program. Alum D.G.I. gave across-the-board stellar ratings to the facility, crediting treatment there with his six-year sobriety. D.G.I. told Best-rehabs.com that the center “provided an excellent foundation.” Another alum, William, told Best-rehabs.com: “This program surpassed my expectations and provided me with everything; mental, emotional, SPIRITUAL, and even physical exercise.”

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

Most family and friends of clients said they benefited from the family programs. One anonymous family member told Best-rehabs.com: “The facility is located in a very serene atmosphere and and the staff and Doctors are very personable and caring.”

However, one anonymous family member told Best-rehabs.com that there were “too many people, too few staff,” and that treatment was “too general.”

FINANCING

BHOPB has the admissions capability and staff to process clients’ insurance as payment for services. In fact, before admitting a client into their facilities, the staff verifies a candidate’s medical coverage. The facility also offers financial assistance through Prosper Healthcare Lending, the premier financing company in the behavioral health industry.

Behavioral Health Palm Beach- The Recovery Center for Men Reviews

  • There are much better treatment centers available. The center for men lacks all the things you would look for in a recovery center and goes by 12 steps only. Do not waste your time or money at the center for men if you really want help and have some class.

  • Dirty, awful, center!!! They treat nothing. Do not believe the lies the admissions team tells or any false reviews. Lake Worth area is awful and the center is the worst. If you are coming from prison or just killing the time to test negative for court maybe this is your place. But for anyone else beware!!!! Staff is not qualified either. Shame on this center!

  • I am writing this review so other family members or patients in need of care do not have to experience the disgrace of this center for men!! Stay away. Everything the facility told me was simply not true. They lie and will just bill insurance for everything. The facility was not clean and filled with majority of guys that just talked about how much they used ( as if it is cool) while having smoke breaks outside. There is no real MD care or personalized care.I would not write an awful review unless it was 100% accurate. Beware of the hotel they call a facility!!! Do not go!!!!
