CARES Treatment Center Celebration Florida

Believe who God is – At some point in time every person will have a need to seek a greater love beyond themselves, the ones they care for, and the ones they are cared by. God is that father to all of his creation and has reconciled his relationship with fallen mankind by forgetting all their wrongs committed. He is committed to the relationship and promises to never leave you or forsake you. You don’t have to fear being judged and you can’t disappoint him. He has peaceful thoughts toward you—nothing else. Believe who you are – If you’re a Peterson and on occasion, you wear a mustache and a sombrero, it doesn’t make you a Gomez. You’re still a Peterson regardless of the costume you decide to wear. You are a child of God. You are more than a conqueror. You can do all things and nothing will be impossible for you to accomplish. That is your identity regardless of how you behave—nothing can change that. Believe you are loved – There has to be someone, somewhere in the universe who can truly accept and love you just the way you are. That person is God and he is love and he wants to live in each and every person. Wherever there is true love, God is indiscriminately present regardless of anyone’s religious views or lack thereof. You can’t love God, yourself or anyone if you don’t understand that he loved you first. It is far more important to know that God loves you.

ABOUT CARES TREATMENT CENTER

Located in the community of Celebrations, Fla., 20 miles south of Orlando, CARES Treatment Center is a Christian-based treatment organization that offers residential (30, 60 or 90 days) and outpatient-based services for adolescents struggling with chemical dependency. The facility also treats adolescents struggling with co-occurring mental health disorders and provides on-site detoxification services.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon admission, clients undergo an initial substance abuse assessment and biopsychosocial evaluation to help clinicians form an individualized plan of care. Through residential treatment, clients continue to receive weekly assessments to monitor progress and modify treatment accordingly. CARES Treatment Center combines Christian principles with evidence-based treatment methods to address issues contributing to addictive behavior while promoting a sober lifestyle. According to the facility’s website, the residential program’s daily routine is rooted in four principles: orderliness, inspiration, productivity, and enjoyment.

Treatment modalities utilized by the facility include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to modify irrational thinking patterns and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR) to address issues of trauma. Residents participate in a structured schedule of counseling sessions, which includes daily inspirational group sessions, twice-weekly family therapy, and weekly one-on-one sessions. A range of holistic treatment methods, such as art therapy, is also incorporated into treatment.

Along with counseling sessions, residents receive on-site classroom instruction six days per week through the facility’s accredited school. Vocational training, G.E.D. preparation, high school proficiency testing, and college courses are available. In addition to core programming, residents engage in daily social and recreational activities and regularly attend youth fellowship worship services.

Once a resident completes treatment, the facility offers an intensive outpatient program via tele-therapy. Outpatient sessions allow alumni to communicate with clinicians through state-of-the-art teleconferencing technology, which offers ongoing support and counseling during early recovery.

  • I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia for two years now. The condition has forced me to leave my work and I became a burden to my family. It went from auditory hallucinations to complete paranoia. I was too scared to get out of home, too afraid that my worst fears are confirmed. I covered my face, I shut the windows and closed the doors. I cared too much what other people think, but that's where I was wrong. This have been such a great blessing to me. The Heart Transformation treatment has helped me learn how to handle my condition and face each new day with hopes that I can make it. Now, I am back remotely working from home and helping my family. Yes, there are bad times and even worst times that still come but CARES Treatment has given me a new perspective on life and has shown me that God's grace is sufficient. I am just grateful.
I went to CARES treatment in Davenport FL to get dual diagnosis help for myself. It was suppose to be a long term treatment program, PHP care. Upon arrival I met the owner who in our first conversation said it’s OK to relapse and that he won’t kick me out. I paid him 800 in cash for 1 month of what ended up being room and board. At this time he also said the power to be decided I should be paying 1200 a month. More problems include: 1. I was the only client in there house. 2. The staff they had were all interns from college. 3. I sat around everyday watching therapy like videos. 4. Continually the owner kept saying it’s ok to relapse 5. There were no groups or activities like a PHP treatment program is suppose to provide. Last but not least the owner went behind my back after the CARF inspection and told my therapist to discharge me from PHP care to a sober living client therefore taking away from me the type of care I need at a higher level. The therapist in question didn’t agree with the lowering my level of care.

This place is a..joke! Very wonderful family saught to send their child here for counseling and the staff member who obviously needs to be on medication himself is the most obnoxious, rude , egotistical maniac I have ever know. I listened to the rude manner in which he spoke to the wife of one of the pillars in our community...DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS PLACE!
