Origins of Hope recognizes that women face different challenges in recovery than men. The alcohol and drug rehab provides gender-specific addiction treatment designed to address these important differences and give clients a nurturing and empowering treatment environment. The facility’s holistic approach addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and sociopolitical aspects of addiction, and gives clients the techniques and tools to help them stay sober for life.
ABOUT ORIGINS OF HOPE
Located in Palm Beach County’s city of Atlantis Fla., Origins of Hope provides treatment for women struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Programs on offer include residential treatment, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), and transitional living. Detox is not available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Origins of Hope’s interdisciplinary program is grounded in 12-step principles and includes up to 30 hours of counseling each week. On-site therapists utilize a variety of modalities, including trauma-informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and relational model therapy. In addition to individual counseling, clients also participate in process groups and family therapy sessions. Psychiatric services are available to all clients, and staff may make referrals for medical testing and treatment.
The center rounds out its programming with alternative therapies, like equine-assisted therapy, and holistic services, including acupuncture, yoga, reiki, and meditation. Recreational activities provide opportunities for physical exercise and socialization.

According to its website, the center offers a 2:7 staff-to-client ratio. The treatment team includes licensed medical professionals, psychiatrists, licensed or certified addiction counselors, nutritionists, fitness experts, and other wellness professionals.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The center’s 10-bed residential facility – a cluster of fully-furnished cottages – offers clients homelike accommodations and amenities. Residents sleep in twin beds in cheerfully decorated bedrooms that they share with one other client. The cottages surround a landscaped courtyard and a heated, salt water swimming pool. While not in counseling sessions, clients may use the on-site fitness center and engage in recreational activities including gardening, swimming, beach outings, and library visits.
