Your Life Recovery Center takes a holistic approach to treatment planning. We offer traditional group/individual therapy while incorporating alternative/emerging therapies such as EMDR, bio-neuro feedback, yoga, music, art and outdoor/experiential therapy. This approach may include AA/NA principles. While we at Your Life Recovery Center are proponents of the 12 steps, we realize that AA/NA is not for everyone and acknowledge that there are many paths to recovery. Participation in AA/NA is encouraged but not required.
ABOUT YOUR LIFE RECOVERY CENTER
Located in Boynton Beach, Flor., only a mile from the beach, Your Life Recovery Center provides holistic residential and outpatient programming for individuals and their families struggling with substance abuse. Designed as an alternative to 12-Step, treatment combines group therapy and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and spiritual counseling, all in a comfortable, luxurious setting. Dental care is also provided, though medical detox services are not.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Programming at Your Life Recovery Center has several goals to it. Through counseling with their therapists, men and women will learn to develop new perspectives and life skills, identify personal goals, and take responsibility for themselves. By sharing and listening to one another in group therapy, believed by the center to be a core component to a successful recovery, clients are reminded they are not alone in their struggle.
As a holistic program, Your Life Recovery Center also provides clients with yoga, meditation, art therapy, as well as evidence-based approaches, such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and more. Trips to the nearby beach and professional sporting events make up the weekend curriculum.
Other services that may be part of a client’s personalized treatment plan include outpatient treatment, career and educational counseling, and family sessions. There is also an executive track for high-profile businesspeople unable to walk away from their companies, yet still in need of recovery, support, and assistance. Your Life Recovery Center also provides a faith-based track.

Proud of its “director and staff with over 30 years experience,” Your Life Recovery Center employs counselors and therapists as well as specialists certified in a variety of holistic practices.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Male and female clients are housed separately. The men’s house features a large swimming pool, and the women’s home features a modern, fully-equipped kitchen. Each home, in addition, supplies WI-FI and large-screen TVs.
In addition to nutritional counseling, massage therapy, and acupuncture, men and women are also taken off-site for equine therapy, personal training, Pilates, and marine therapy. For those comfortable out on the water, deep sea fishing and kayaking are also on offer, while spa services may be available at select locations.

The three loved ones polled by Best-rehabs.com offered more polarized opinions. Though she was enthusiastic about the center’s accommodations, reviewer Nancy was highly disappointed with the actual treatment her daughter received: “They lied about everything, mostly about being able to take a patient with type 1 diabetes.”
In addition, a father of a client, whose son could not ultimately be treated, wrote: None of your residents have had co-occurring mental issues along with their addiction? A total waste of time and energy. However, loved one G.M. praised the staff, writing: “The staff was so loving and caring . Very supportive to my friend.”
Reviews on secondary sites were also positive. On Google, where the center has an average rating of 4.4 out of five stars across 13 reviews as of this writing, Amber shared her family’s success story. “They helped the father of my youngest realize he deserved to live a sober life,” she wrote.
