ABOUT HENDERSON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH – ADULT OUTPATIENT AND PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION SERVICES
For more than six decades, Henderson Behavioral Health has provided support to individuals and communities in South Florida. The nonprofit, private organization operates four adult outpatient and psychosocial rehabilitation facilities, including its central branch in Fort Lauderdale.
The centers offer dual-diagnosis programs, veterans counseling programs, a crisis stabilization unit (CSU), student counseling, housing and employment assistance programs, and specialized services for older adults, youth, and families. Detoxification services are not provided.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, the co-occurring disorders treatment program involves both individual and group therapies, which apply evidence-based practices in combination with an array of approaches to treat both disorders simultaneously.
VICTORY or veterans in counseling to obtain recovery program is designed to provide services to veterans before, during, and after deployment.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services program utilizes the Role Recovery Model to treat mental illness symptoms. The program helps clients achieve stability and develop confidence, knowledge, skills, and support systems. Ongoing psychiatric and wellness assessments influence which holistic treatment options each client will pursue, such as medication management and smoking cessation.

Programming in outpatient and rehabilitation services includes individual and group therapy, family support groups, medication education and management, psychiatric and nursing assessments and treatment, and case management.
