ABOUT NEW BEGINNINGS RECOVERY CENTER
Set on a 2.5-acre campus a short walk from the beach, New Beginnings Recovery Center (NBRC) in Palm Beach, Fla. offers sober living facilities and outpatient treatment — including outpatient detox — for adult men and women struggling with substance abuse.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the center’s website, outpatient detox is available for those withdrawing from substances including opiates, methadone, Suboxone, alcohol, cocaine/crack, and prescription medications. Detox programs involve prescriptions for medication along with office visits. NBRC also uses “The Restore Neurotransmitter Restoration Program,” a method that utilizes IV and oral supplements intended to replenish depleted hormones, vitamins, and amino acids.
The outpatient program is designed for those who have recently completed a residential program elsewhere, or who struggle with repeated relapse, and are aiming for long-term sobriety. It includes individual and group therapy; life skills, vocational classes, and job placement assistance; and psychiatric evaluations and follow-up sessions, when necessary. Specialist programs include inner child therapy, which promotes forgiveness and increased self-awareness.
Individual counseling is also available as a stand-alone option, outside of the outpatient program. Additionally, weekly aftercare meetings are provided at no extra cost, and graduates are encouraged to participate in the Alumni Program.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, outpatient treatment includes visits from a board-certified psychiatric practitioner. The outpatient course is managed by a licensed addiction counselor.
