ABOUT NEW SEASON – PENSACOLA METRO TREATMENT CENTER

Beside Highway 29 on the northern outskirts of Pensacola, Pensacola Metro Treatment Center provides outpatient detox and medication-assisted outpatient therapy (MAT) for individuals struggling with opiate addiction. The center is one of more than 50 New Season locations, formerly known as Colonial Management Group, and is open in the mornings only, from 5 a.m.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The Pensacola Metro Treatment Center offers methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone programs as well as medical exams to ensure clients’ safety. According to the facility’s website, the program makes use of these medications in combination with individual, group, and family counseling, plus referrals to other community resources.

Treatment begins with an assessment interview, followed by an induction phase: a few weeks of frequent monitoring while the client stabilizes. After the induction phase, clients continue to meet regularly with their counselor though the frequency of treatment does taper.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Medications are prescribed under the supervision of a physician. Clients also meet regularly with counselors and nurses.

The single individual surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date gave the facility four out of five stars for the staff’s level of training and experience.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Best-rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, though secondary sites yielded mixed feedback. To date, the facility has average ratings of 3.0 stars out of five based on 27 Google reviews as well as five reviews on Yellowpages.com.

The negative reviews consistently described the center as simply a money-making operation: “I can appreciate the ‘stated’ goals and motivation for the existence of this clinic. But in reality, it simply exists as a very profitable business for its owners. It is not a place to get legitimate help and counseling for withdrawal from other drugs,” explained one individual in a representative Google review. Others complained that the facility was understaffed and had long waiting times.

Despite these complaints, several reviewers spoke highly of the facility and its staff. “The whole staff is wonderful. Everyone is very polite and helpful. I personally love my counselor,” wrote T.M. in a representative review.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The single loved one polled by Best-rehabs.com to date indicated that they’d recommend the facility. “My bf is sober!!” the anonymous reviewer wrote, though they added: “However, he sometimes felt that the staff was not attentive and not helpful.” The loved one gave the facility four out of five stars in most evaluated treatment metrics, including its treatment effectiveness, holistic opportunities, family participation, counseling options, and treatment for co-occurring disorders.

FINANCING

New Season accepts some forms of insurance, as well as payment via cash, credit, and debit card. The Best-rehabs.com survey respondent gave the facility four stars for the affordability of its services.
