ABOUT NORTH HARBOR
Located in Northport, Ala., North Harbor Pavilion is part of Northport Medical Center. The treatment center provides services to people struggling with addiction and/or mental health disorders. Detox is not available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, North Harbor offers different treatments for adults older than 18, including psychiatric intensive treatment, inpatient care for adults, and inpatient care for geriatric individuals.
Following an initial assessment, staff members work with clients to build individual treatment plans. Programming includes individual and group therapy, medication management, discharge-planning, and recreational therapy.
Additionally, daily goal meetings allow staff members and clients to access next steps and past successes.
The inpatient program is designed for people who are struggling with symptoms and need short-term, 24-hour care. Clients are seen everyday by a psychiatrist and other mental health professionals.
Before clients are admitted, they must get medical clearance by a physician. The treatment center offers medication for psychiatric stabilization and treatment.
Involvement from loved ones is strongly encouraged at North Harbor, and they are urged to work with staff to decide the best ways to participate.
Before clients are discharged, the treatment center refers individuals to additional services as a form of aftercare

The center’s website notes the treatment team includes clinicians, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, therapists, patient care assistants, and recreational therapists.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
There is no official information on the facility’s website regarding accommodations. However, the only person to be polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave two out of five stars for accommodations and amenities.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The two alumni surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided low to average marks. An anonymous reviewer gave the facility low reviews. “No concern for the individual. All treated the same,” they wrote.
The alum gave three out of five stars for treatment effectiveness and meals and nutrition.
The other alum provided negative feedback, including two stars for treatment effectiveness and they indicated they wouldn’t recommend the treatment center to friends and family.
Although no reviews for North Harbor Pavilion were available on third-party sites, the medical facility as a whole earned an average 3.8 out of five stars on Google Reviews based on 16 reviews.[1]

According to the center’s website, North Harbor accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, and will work with those in need of financial assistance.
