Recovery Associates

Recovery Associates West Palm Beach Florida

The evidence-based treatment program at Recovery Associates is designed to assist individuals, including teens and adult men and women, in achieving sobriety through the use of scientifically validated therapies, such as individual, group, and family counseling. Our goal is to address the effects of substance abuse and support clients in developing a more fulfilling and productive life.

ABOUT RECOVERY ASSOCIATES

Located in the coastal community of West Palm Beach, Florida, Recovery Associates offers outpatient-based treatment programs for adults and adolescents who are struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. While our facility does not provide medical detoxification, our clinicians can help coordinate detoxification services for clients through our partnering facilities.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Prior to starting a treatment program, clients undergo a comprehensive substance abuse assessment and, if applicable, a psychiatric evaluation. This assessment helps our clinicians determine the most appropriate level of care for each individual. Although we specialize in outpatient-based programming, we are able to assist clients in finding sober housing. For instance, we collaborate with Pathways to Peace, an organization that offers supportive housing for clients enrolled in our programs.

Clients who require a higher level of care to attain and maintain sobriety may be referred to our facility’s partial hospitalization program (PHP), which involves 25 hours of weekly programming. As a part of our treatment approach, we offer group, individual, and family therapy sessions, encourage participation in 12-step programs, provide psychoeducation classes, and facilitate gender-specific process groups. In addition to evidence-based treatments, our PHP clients may also engage in expressive therapy, guided yoga sessions, and spiritual counseling. Clients with co-occurring disorders may receive ongoing medication management as well.

In order to tailor our treatment to each client’s needs and preferences, we offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that consists of four distinct treatment tracks. Clients can choose to enroll in a traditional track, a Christian-based track, a trauma-focused track, or an expressive track. Our IOP clients attend programming three days a week, totaling at least nine hours of treatment. Typically, IOP lasts between three to six months.

Regardless of the treatment track chosen, clients receive regular individual therapy sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Recovery Associates also provides specialized therapy groups for LGBT clients, adolescents, and those with eating disorders or body image issues. To address the connection between irrational thinking and behavioral health, we incorporate a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, we offer hypnotherapy sessions as a supplementary treatment option. Our expressive track specifically utilizes holistic options such as yoga, art therapy, and creative writing exercises, while our Christian-based track may incorporate worship services, devotionals, and Bible study into programming.
