ABOUT HAWAII ISLAND RECOVERY
Hawaii Island Recovery is a residential rehab facility located on the northern tip of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We provide treatment for adult men and women struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders such as anxiety and depression in a tranquil environment. Medically-supervised detox services are available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
At Hawaii Island Recovery, we employ multiple evidence-based, holistic, and experiential treatments to address a variety of conditions. Our facility is exclusive, limiting our patient capacity to eight clients at a time. Each client participates in an individualized program that combines treatment options for optimal results. The length of stay varies on a person-to-person basis, with programs running 30, 60, or 90 days depending on the chosen treatment options.
Our treatment plans include individual counseling, group therapy, and 12-step meetings. We encourage residents to obtain sponsors and participate in service work. In addition to these core elements, we utilize diverse therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR), and hypnosis. We also offer experiential treatments and holistic therapies such as Reiki, massage, equine therapy, acupuncture, and yoga. Moreover, our unique program features wild dolphin therapy in the open ocean.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Our staff at Hawaii Island Recovery includes board-certified physicians, psychotherapists, master’s level registered addiction specialists, licensed addiction counselors, licensed naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, and other highly trained professionals.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
During their stay, our residents live together in a spacious house with an outdoor pool and a porch offering stunning ocean views. Meals prepared by a private chef are served in the fully-equipped kitchen. We organize recreational activities such as hikes, snorkeling trips, and excursions to the Volcanoes National Park. Our clients also receive memberships to a gym and ongoing personal training sessions. The cleanliness of our facility has been highly rated by the ten individuals surveyed, receiving a score of 4.6 out of five stars.
