ABOUT FRIENDS OF SINNERS – SUBSTANCE RECOVERY PROGRAM
Located in Owensboro, Ky., Friends of Sinners – Substance Recovery Program (FOS) is a faith-based residential substance abuse program for adult men and women. The program has a specific Christian focus. Medically supervised detox is not available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The residential substance abuse program at the Friends of Sinners – Substance Recovery Program is an 18-month program that consists of four phases of treatment.
Phase One is the “Foundation,” which provides basic treatment programming. Phase Two is “Disciple.” Phase Three is called “Fisher of Men.” Phase Four is the “Ambassador” phase, where residents provide mentorship and leadership to those involved in the earlier phases of the program.
Treatment also includes 12 step programming, peer mentoring, accountability meetings, and regular Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings. Residents have access to recovery groups, life skills educational classes, and accountability meetings. Residents attend bible study groups and religious classes.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the Friends of Sinners website, staff members have gone through the recovery process and believe in the “awesome heart-changing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” As a religious program that conducts baptisms, a pastor is on staff. No additional information is available regarding the facility’s staff members and their credentials.

The loved one gave only one out of five stars for the program’s holistic offerings and two out of five stars for its level of connectivity. The loved one specifically added that the facility needed “to improve their holistic offerings.”
