North Kent Guidance Services operates multiple locations in Grand Rapids and Greenville, Michigan. Our facilities specialize in delivering comprehensive mental and behavioral outpatient counseling services and evaluations to individuals, both adults and children, as well as their families.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
At North Kent Guidance Services, each client’s initial session is crucial in determining the most effective course of treatment. Our clients have the flexibility to choose from a range of therapeutic options including individual counseling, group therapy, and family and couples counseling. Moreover, we offer diagnostic and forensic evaluations covering various domains such as substance abuse and gerontology assessments.
Our Children and Family Center caters to counseling needs related to grief, trauma, divorce, self-harm, eating disorders, anger management, and communication skills, among others. We also utilize evidence-based treatment approaches including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and play therapy.
Furthermore, North Kent Guidance Services features an LGBT Center that provides specialized treatment focusing on sexuality and gender diversity. Our program prioritizes the unique challenges faced by LGBT individuals and connects clients with community programs and groups that cater to their needs.
