ABOUT ADEPT
Located in the suburbs 15 miles south of central Baltimore, Md., ADEPT is an outpatient facility for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. The center offers outpatient treatment at a variety of intensities, including an intensive outpatient program (IOP), one of 221 IOPs available in the state of Maryland. Medical detox is not available on-site, but ADEPT does provide acupuncture to ease milder withdrawal symptoms.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Counseling is offered in individual and group settings, with the main treatment tracks being an IOP for those struggling with substance use disorder and a separate treatment track for those struggling with a dual diagnosis. There are also standard outpatient groups for both adults and adolescents, as well as educational courses for first-time DUI offenders.
ADEPT publishes little information about its treatment methods, but the one alum surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date indicated that treatment is based on 12-Step, involves family participation, and incorporates some holistic offerings. Among those holistic offerings is the above-mentioned acupuncture: ADEPT is one of just 45 facilities in the state of Maryland that offers acupuncture for the treatment of addiction. Hypnotherapy is available, also.
The educational courses for first-time DUI offenders may be designed to satisfy state and DMV requirements for license reinstatement. The facility is open all day Monday through Friday, plus Saturday mornings.

There’s currently no information from the facility itself about the treatment staff, but the single alum polled by Best-rehabs.com to date gave the center five out of five stars for its staff’s level of training and experience.

The single alum polled by Best-rehabs.com to date, Brenda, gave very positive feedback, awarding ADEPT four or five stars in most of the evaluated treatment metrics, with five-star ratings going to its holistic offerings and the amount of family participation, while offering four stars to its counseling options and ability to treat co-occurring disorders. “The counselors definitely started me on a wonderful journey! I have been sober since Feb. 2009… They actually practice what they preach!!” Brenda wrote.

FINANCING
Most private insurances are accepted, and ADEPT is also among the 31.6 percent of Maryland facilities that accepts Medicare, and among the 74.4 that accepts Medicaid. The center also offers a sliding fee scale for uninsured and underinsured clients.
