ABOUT COMMUNITY SOCIAL SERVICES OF WAYNE COUNTY

Established in 1946 as Catholic Social Services of Wayne County, Community Social Services of Wayne County (CSSWC) offers a range of services for people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, with the aim of “rebuilding broken lives and restoring dignity.” Alongside child welfare, senior services, and education and literacy programs, the organization offers outpatient care for adults struggling with substance abuse, and prevention and early intervention services for children, youth, and adolescents at risk of substance abuse.

The organization has facilities in both Dearborn and Detroit.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

For adults struggling with substance abuse, CSSWC provides counseling in group and family settings, as well as support and skills training in individual and group settings. In order to help clients access community resources, the organization also provides case management services.

CSSWC’s website provides no further information about the organization’s treatment services for substance abuse, however, an alum polled by Best-rehabs.com painted a picture of a relatively well-rounded program, with very good holistic options and family programming, but less impressive counseling options.

The organization provides a range of other community and behavioral health services, primary among them prison re-entry programs and a family life education program, which seeks to educate participants on the ways families work.

STAFF CREDENTIALS
