ABOUT ST. JOHN PROVIDENCE — EASTWOOD CLINICS, ROCHESTER HILLS

St. John Providence is a faith-based health system and according to its website, the largest provider of inpatient care in southeast Michigan, with four hospitals and more than 125 medical centers across four counties, including a location in Royal Oak. Located 17 miles northwest of downtown Detroit, the Rochester Hills facility provides outpatient treatment for substance abuse, mental health disorders, and process addictions. Residential treatment is available at the Eastwood Clinics’ location in Warren, Mich.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to Eastwood Clinics’ website, each client receives personalized treatment. Along with substance abuse treatment, Eastwood Clinics offer support with difficulties such as eating disorders, problem gambling, anxiety, depression, gender and sexual issues, and pain management.

For those struggling with substance abuse, treatment is offered at two intensities. There is an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which involves programming three to four days a week, and a general outpatient treatment program.

For both treatment tracks, Eastwood Clinics offers individual, group, and family counseling. Official facility materials make no mention of the 12-Steps or other treatment modalities, however reviews gathered by Best-rehabs.com for the Royal Oak location indicated that treatment is strongly rooted in the 12-Steps.
