EmPower Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Rochester, Minn., offers outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance abuse and mental illness along with help for victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. The facility believes that all individuals seeking care are capable of making lasting improvements in their lives if they are ready to change.

The facility’s treatment program emphasizes education, motivational interviewing, encouragement, therapeutic intervention, and skill building. Empower’s website describes their services as psycho-educational in nature and they work to make each client’s treatment plan individualized to their unique needs.

The primary chemical dependency outpatient treatment includes a total of 90 hours of services spread out over ten weeks. Clients attend 29 group counseling sessions and three individual sessions on a schedule of three days or three evenings per week.

The Step Beyond program is designed for adult clients over the age of 18 who have participated in one or more treatment programs in their lives. Relapse prevention groups meet twice per week over the course of 18 weeks. This is a 90 hour program that incorporates 36 mixed-gender sessions and 18 individual sessions.

The domestic violence program aims to help men of all ages come to understand the impact of domestic violence on their personal lives and the loves of their loved ones. Each participant receives an individual evaluation and the program includes 24 weeks of group or individual counseling sessions depending on their needs.

Empower’s Community of Recovery and Family Transitions Project (C.R.A.F.T.) is designed for adult females with a history of substance abuse who are pregnant or parenting at least one child under the age of two.
