ABOUT RANGE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER – HIBBING

Range Mental Health Center (RMHC) in northern Minnesota is a nonprofit organization that provides behavioral health care across six facilities. The facility in Hibbing, the Governor Rudy Perpich Building, provides outpatient services to adults and adolescents and programming for adults dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at RMHC begins with a psychiatric assessment to develop a personalized plan based off the individual’s needs.

Outpatient services are offered five days per week and include individual, marital, and family therapy sessions. Medication management is also available.

Psychiatric programming for adults dealing with disorders like mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders incorporates medication management with evidence-based treatment.

Relapse prevention is available to those in the substance abuse program.

The facility also offers education on issues like coping, healthy lifestyle skills, interpersonal skills, and nutrition.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

RMHC employs licensed social workers, a licensed psychologist, advance nurse practitioners, licensed clinical counselors, family therapists, and psychiatrists.

Two loved ones polled by Best-rehabs.com at this time of writing submitted positive feedback. Both individuals indicated that they’d recommend treatment at the facility. They gave four and five out of five stars for the center’s level of family participation, and the staff’s level of training and experience. Both individuals gave four out of five stars for RMHC’s holistic offerings and level of cleanliness.

“Location was good, great counselors,” commented loved one A.F. who added, “Management has problems.” A sibling of a client added: “They did a good job getting him to open up without pushing him too much. was glad to see the improvements.” However, they cited “not enough activity variety” as a weakness.
