ABOUT ALPHA HEALING CENTER
Located in Jersey City, N.J., the Alpha Healing Center offers outpatient treatment for men and women struggling with addiction. Modalities include a partial care program (PCP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a traditional outpatient program (OP). The Alpha Healing Center offers a multi-faceted approach to alcohol and drug treatment focused on holistic recovery and individualized treatment. Treatment is evidence-based and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), cognitive analytic therapy, and medication management.
The PCP provides short-term stabilization with approximately 25 hours of programming per week, while the IOP program includes nine to 12 hours of weekly treatment. Both courses include group therapy, family therapy, psychoeducation classes, and individual counseling. The OP offers relapse prevention-based counseling and is much less structured than the other two outpatient options.
Holistic treatments such as music and art therapy, yoga, spirituality, prayer, and mindfulness meditation are also key program components. In group therapy, clients learn emotional regulation techniques, coping skills, stress reduction, and more.
Personalized aftercare planning is also available, which may include referrals to sober living facilities and community support groups.

According to the facility’s website, the treatment team includes a medical director, a program director, and a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor.
