Medication monitoring, relaxation training, and spirituality groups are also on offer.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

While Best-rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, Bon Secours Community Hospital has average ratings of 2.5 and 3.6 out of five stars, respectively, from 35 Google reviewers and 69 Facebook users.

“They gave him medications to calm his withdrawal symptoms and then called me on the phone a few hours later to tell me that they ran out of beds and wanted me to pick him up and bring him elsewhere,” wrote Google reviewer Larry on his friend’s one-star experience.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The two loved ones surveyed by Best-rehabs.com to date had polarized perspectives of the facility. The anonymous sibling of a former client told of a supportive and helpful staff, despite the fact that their brother passed away after years of battling addiction. “From what I gather, this was still a decent treatment program and the staff on hand were helpful/supportive,” they wrote.

Yet the other reviewer found the facility’s offerings to be subpar. While they appreciated that the program was set inside a hospital with doctors nearby, the reviewer felt that the food was “terrible” and the activities lacking. “They could’ve encouraged patients to attend more meetings and not allowed the clients to alienate one another by labeling them.”

FINANCING

According to its website, the New Directions Program accepts most major insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare.

  • In a hospital, so drs were close by. No options for activities. Terrible food. Allowed clients in treatment to sleep all day. They could've encouraged patients to attend more meetings and not allowed the clients to alienate one another by labeling them.

  • Staff was supportive. My brother was only here for a few months and ended up passing away.... I do know that it had to do with too many years of alcohol/substance abuse and I guess his body just couldn't handle it anymore. From what I gather, this was still a decent treatment program and the staff on hand were helpful/supportive.
