TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
In general, CMH aims to provide person-centered services, using a multidisciplinary approach and the best practices in each discipline.
For the treatment of substance use disorder, CMH offers substance use assessments, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient individual and group counseling. The facility also provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using Suboxone for individuals struggling with addiction to opiates.
The IOP is an eight-week program that mainly unfolds in group therapy sessions, which focus on coping skills; finding a new, sober definition of life; and building a sober network. The group meets three weekday evenings a week, for three hours each time, and clients are also required to participate in individual therapy.
CMH also offers psychiatric services, psychological testing, case management, and various therapeutic courses for individuals struggling with mental health disorders.
