ABOUT VAN’S HOUSE

Van’s House is a sober living community in Enid, Okla., about 90 minutes north of Oklahoma City, for “motivated adult men and women” seeking to recover from addiction to drugs or alcohol. All applicants must first go through an interview process either in person or over the phone to be accepted.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The mission at Van’s House is very clear: “to help others do what they cannot do for themselves.” According to its website, programming is “based on the idea of a ‘spiritual therapeutic community’ which uses a democratic group process to empower residents to take an active role in their recovery from addiction.”

The curriculum consists of mandatory daily and nightly A.A. meetings for both men and women as well as gender-separate ones each Saturday morning. Program participants must also find a sponsor to help them work the steps.
