ABOUT BAY AREA RECOVERY CENTER – MEN’S FACILITY
Based in Dickinson, Texas, Bay Area Recovery Center (BARC) operates a residential treatment center for adult men needing treatment for substance abuse. The residential center is one of multiple BARC facilities located throughout the state. Detox, outpatient care, and programs for women are offered at separate facilities in Dickinson, Houston, and Pasadena. Aftercare services are also available.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Bay Area Recovery Center begins with comprehensive assessment to determine the client’s needs. Clients 17+ can enroll in the residential program, and typically remain in treatment for between 30 and 180 days. During this time, participants receive 24-hour support and monitoring.
Treatment consists of 12-steps-based methods. Counseling sessions comprise the biggest segment of treatment. Individual and group sessions are provided. Clients also participate in sober living educational courses and recreational activities. Social development and relapse prevention skills are taught to help clients maintain a sober living lifestyle.
Bay Area Recovery Center offers a specialized intervention program to help clients begin their recovery process. Interventions can be scheduled and facilitated by BARC specialists. Clients that participate in a successful intervention can begin the enrollment process for other programs.
Family support is encouraged throughout the program. Family counseling and visitation is encouraged. However, visitations are limited at the beginning of treatment to allow clients to acclimate to the program.
Aftercare services are provided free of charge to clients that successfully complete the treatment programs. An alumni support group is available as well as sobriety management services.
