ABOUT PERMIAN BASIN COMMUNITY CENTERS TURNING POINT

Permian Basin Community Centers (PBCC) is a renowned treatment provider offering services for substance abuse and mental health disorders to residents in eight West Texas counties. The organization operates the Turning Point program for adults in Odessa, which is a highly intensive residential rehab facility that includes medically monitored detoxification. PBCC also provides a range of other substance abuse programs including outpatient, dual diagnosis, women-specific treatment, and adolescent treatment.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

At PBCC, the focus is on providing structured and easily accessible treatment. Assessment can be initiated through an online questionnaire or a phone call.

The treatment program incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and the principles of 12-step recovery, and is relatively short-term. The detoxification process typically lasts four to 10 days, followed by a 30- to 35-day residential treatment program. During the program, clients participate in individual, group, and family counseling sessions, as well as educational sessions on addiction, relapse prevention, and life skills.

Aftercare is an important aspect of the program and includes referrals to outpatient and sober living services for ongoing support once clients have completed treatment.
