ABOUT TWELVE WAY FOUNDATION IN MARSHALL, TX
Located in Marshall, Texas, Twelve Way Foundation is a nonprofit, faith-based organization that provides short-term residential care and sober living to men struggling with addiction.
The center opened in 2004, and according to Twelve Way Foundation’s website, its mission is “to provide a safe, sober environment for men who have a sincere desire to change their lives through a relationship with Christ and a program of recovery.”
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the center’s website, Twelve Way’s 30-Day Residential program includes bible study, 12-step lessons, community services opportunities, AA group meetings, and classes about building a relationship with God.
The program is designed to improve residents’ overall spiritual condition. However, this is not a medical detox program. Once patients finish the 30 day program, they may enroll into the long-term program.
Patients in Twelve Way’s Long Term Recovery program live in sober living homes. The program was created to help men become productive members of society.
The center provides interface with the Criminal Justice System, employment assistance, transportation to work, GED tutoring, housing, meals, and daily recovery meetings in a long-term program.
Residents of the sober living homes much meet the following requirements: attend daily meetings designed to build a relationship with God, participate in recovery classes, maintain a full-time job, pay a fee, follow house guidelines, and pass random drug tests.

The two alumni surveyed by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided largely positive reviews. They both gave the center five out of five stars when asked if they would recommend Twelve Way Foundation to others.
Additional metrics evaluated include the use of 12-Step in treatment, the extent to which treatment was faith-based, and the quality of treatment for dual diagnosis. Both alumni polled gave each of these metrics five out of five stars.
Three- and four-star ratings were given for Twelve Way Foundation’s connectivity/visitor policy, family participation in treatment, counseling options, affordability, and the cleanliness/maintenance of the building.
