A New Beginning is dedicated to providing women with a nurturing and safe environment to start their recovery journey. Located in northwest Alabama, surrounded by a dynamic and active recovery community, our drug and alcohol treatment center has transformed the lives of numerous women who were battling substance dependence. Our program empowers these women to break free from the vicious cycle of addiction, enabling them to become productive and happy members of society.
ABOUT A NEW BEGINNING
A New Beginning offers long-term residential treatment specifically designed for women who are struggling with addiction. We are located in Florence, Alabama.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
A New Beginning operates two facilities: Helton Court, situated in downtown Florence, where clients will reside for a minimum of one month, and Country Living, a facility located 10 miles outside of Florence. Clients start their treatment journey at Helton Court, where they actively participate in chores, individual and group counseling sessions, as well as engage in 12-step meetings.
Our program’s duration typically ranges from six months to one year. During this time, clients are encouraged to engage in exercise, attend yoga classes, and participate in life skill classes. Additionally, we offer a 16-week parenting program for mothers. Vocational training is a crucial element of our treatment, as it equips clients with the necessary job skills to succeed in the workforce. A New Beginning also provides faith-based treatment alongside its other offerings.
To ensure ongoing support, A New Beginning has established connections with community churches and businesses. These connections help our clients stay connected to support groups and access financial aid when needed.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Our executive director is a certified addictions professional and an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor. Additionally, two other staff members listed on our website are certified counselors.
