ABOUT CROSSROADS EAST FOR MEN
Crossroads is a substance abuse treatment facility with several locations throughout Phoenix, Ariz. Crossroads East For Men, which opened in 1960, provides residential substance abuse treatment for adult men. Length of stay is offered in two phases: a primary 30-day phase, followed by a longer-term 90-day treatment option.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility’s website, the program at Crossroads East is highly structured and based on the 12-Steps. Programming includes relapse prevention workshops, life skills education, addiction education, as well as intensive employment services and financial education.
Comprehensive aftercare and discharge planning is also part of treatment at Crossroads East for Men.
Throughout all five campuses of The Crossroads, there are more than 100 12-step and SMART Recovery meetings held each week. The Crossroads East facility has a large meeting hall that can hold up to 200 people and frequently hosts these events.
Alumni often return to attend meetings on-site, giving clients the opportunity to become comfortable within a support group setting and prepare for re-entrance into the community.

The center’s website indicates the treatment team includes administrative staff, such as an executive director, a clinical quality specialist, and program directors and coordinators.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The facility’s website notes the 48-bed facility offers modest accommodations, with bedrooms that each sleep four and contain bathrooms, showers, dressers, lockers, closets, televisions, and personal work spaces. The campus includes laundry facilities, a large dining hall, computers for job searches, and a large courtyard for communal gathering.

Complaints include poor facilities and rude staff. But, the majority of reviews are positive. “I love this place. It helped save my life,” Justin wrote in a representative review.

The only loved one polled by Best-rehabs.com at the time of this writing provided a positive review, and described the staff as compassionate and helpful.
They gave five out of five stars when asked if they would recommend the treatment center, the staff’s level of training and experience, and its treatment of co-occurring disorders.
“They where awesome with helping him cope with his mental illnesses. In the end though like most addicts he went back to drugs… Could be more affordable,” they wrote.
FINANCING
According to the center’s website, fees for the first phase of treatment start at $2,370 for 30 days. The second phase of treatment, which typically lasts 90 days, is priced at $40 per day. Most insurance is accepted, including AHCCCS, and some scholarship opportunities are available.
