The PHP level of care provides clients six hours of treatment, five days a week, from a team of highly trained therapists. At the Partial level of care, clients remain in their home environment while attending our full-day treatment program. Evolve PHP provides an effective alternative to residential or inpatient treatment and may be appropriate for those transitioning from one of these higher levels of care. The IOP level of care provides clients with three hours of treatment, three to five days a week. Evolve IOP may be appropriate for those transitioning from a partial hospitalization program (PHP) or for those who need more structure than weekly psychotherapy. The OP level of care provides clients with three hours of treatment, three to five days a week. Evolve OP may be appropriate for those transitioning from an intensive outpatient program (IOP) or for those who need more structure than weekly psychotherapy. During their stay with us clients receive individual, group and family therapy with a focus on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, applied behavior analysis (ABA) and 12-step supports. We offer a variety of psycho-educational support and DBT parenting courses, as well as psychological testing, assessment and referral services. Additionally, clients engage in personal explorations through experiential therapies such as art and psychodrama, yoga, physical fitness, gardening, meditation, vocational pursuits and more.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, clients participate in an initial assessment to ensure an outpatient-based program is an appropriate level of care. The assessment also identifies individual needs and helps clinicians to form personalized treatment plans. The Camarillo location offers three level of care.
The facility’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) requires clients to attend six hours of daily programming for five days a week. IOP includes three-hour sessions, three to five sessions per week, while the traditional outpatient program involves one or two-hour sessions, held one or two times per week. In some cases, clients may “step-down” through the levels of care as they progress in their recovery.
Evolve’s programming blends evidence-based treatment methods with experiential therapies to help clients identify contributing factors of their substance abuse, improve coping skills, and promote healthy lifestyle changes. During outpatient sessions, clients participate in both group and individual counseling sessions that utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to help clients identify the link between irrational thinking and addictive behavior. Counseling sessions also help to promote free expression, set recovery goals, and process emotions. Clients with co-occurring disorders may also receive psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
In addition to counseling sessions, clients are also introduced to the principles and practices of 12-step. Clients may attend 12-step meetings, study fellowship literature, and perform associated “step-work.” Evolve Treatment Centers also provides career and college counseling, vocational opportunities, educational support, and student advocacy. To include loved ones in treatment, the facility offers multi-family support groups and facilitates family counseling sessions.
Along with traditional programming, outpatient programs also incorporate mindful-based stress reduction (MBSR) activities, which may include hiking outings, meditation sessions, and guided yoga. Clients may also participate in fitness regimens, music, art, and movement therapy, and attend social and cultural outings.
Before program completion, clinicians coordinate with loved ones and the client to help form a comprehensive discharge plan. According to its website, the facility provides aftercare plans that “focus on personal growth, achievement, and stable, sustainable integration into the most positive situation possible after treatment.”
