ABOUT GREEN OAK RANCH
Located in the rural community of Vista, Calif., 41 miles north of downtown San Diego, Green Oak Ranch provides a residential faith-based, work-therapy program for adults with chemical dependency behavioral health issues. The facility also hosts Christian camps and retreats. Detox is not available on site. New admissions must test pass drug tests before entering the program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Green Oak Ranch begins with an extensive admissions process. Clients must pass a drug test and background test (for violent and destructive crimes) before being admitted to the program. Clients begin the process by calling and talking to a counselor or leaving a message for at least five, consecutive days. After the fifth day, an in-person interview is scheduled. Clients must continue to call each day until the interview is completed.
Treatment at Green Oak Ranch is faith-based and uses Christian teachings as the foundation for treatments. The program uses a work-therapy and community involvement model in which clients participate in various activities to strengthen their connection to the recovery community. Clients are required to commit to a nine-month stay.
During the program, clients work in various positions both inside and outside of the program. Clients work eight-hour days to maintain the operations of the facility or to support local activities.
Throughout treatment, Green Oak Ranch uses Biblical teachings to promote various areas of self-improvement in clients. The focus on working combined with Christian teachings provides a physical and spiritual method of developing a sober living lifestyle. Clients also participate in regular drug testing throughout treatment.
