Hilltop Recovery Services is an esteemed organization that offers personalized residential addiction treatment services to men facing substance abuse. ABOUT HILLTOP RECOVERY SERVICES MEN’S CENTER
As a nonprofit organization, Hilltop Recovery Services is committed to helping individuals struggling with substance abuse. Located in Middletown, Calif., near Clear Lake, our facility provides a safe, structured, and affordable residential treatment environment for up to 61 adult men. While detox is not offered on-site, we are able to provide Suboxone, a drug to aid in the treatment of opioid addiction. Additionally, we offer aftercare services for clients who successfully complete our residential program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Hilltop Recovery Services Men’s Center welcomes clients who have not only exhibited patterns of substance abuse and/or relapse but also those with criminal or legal issues that may prevent them from seeking treatment elsewhere. Please note that our facility does not cater to individuals with major physical disabilities or psychiatric disorders. Our focus is on providing individualized treatment services to help clients address behaviors that contribute to their substance abuse.
During their stay, clients receive weekly one-on-one counseling sessions to assess progress, discuss treatment assignments, and promote personal growth. Our program is based on the principles of the 12-step model, although attendance at meetings is optional. Clients also take part in group sessions, which are divided into therapeutic, social, and educational categories. Therapeutic sessions aim to modify behaviors and rebuild self-esteem.
Our social model groups involve 12-step meetings and peer support groups. Through these groups, we work on correcting social behaviors that contribute to substance abuse. By fostering a community-based treatment approach within our facility, clients acquire new social skills that are essential for leading a healthy and sober life.
Educational sessions focus on developing coping skills necessary for successful reintegration into the community. These courses address common issues such as anger management, anxiety, depression, and more. Participating clients are assigned courses based on their individual assessments and treatment plans.
Upon completing residential treatment, clients have the opportunity to transition to Hilltop Recovery Services’ intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Lucerne. We also offer aftercare and sober living services to facilitate their transition out of the program. We provide continued treatment planning services and referrals to connect clients with local support groups and other necessary services.

Our Middletown-based facility offers 61 beds for adult men. Although available reviews regarding our accommodations are limited, they suggest that our facility is clean and set in a remote location, albeit slightly worn down.

FINANCING
In addition to an initial intake fee of $200, the monthly cost for residential treatment is $2,700. Hilltop Recovery Services accepts self-payments and insurance from Magellan Healthcare’s Blue Shield of California (BSC) program. We also have contracts with Veterans Affairs and other county agencies.
