Axis Residential is a full-service alcohol and drug treatment center with three locations in California. The Axis East facility in Indian Wells is the longest running (and most luxurious) option for residential treatment. The rehab focuses on helping each client re-envision life’s possibilities and truly embrace the value of sobriety. By introducing daily activities and techniques that, with time, will become life-saving routines, Axis provides its clients with the framework necessary to build a solid foundation for long-lasting recovery.
ABOUT AXIS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT
Axis Recovery provides highly individualized, upscale residential treatment for adults dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Axis Recovery operates three centers in Southern California: Axis East in Indian Wells, Axis West in Culver City, and Axis Pacific View Recovery Center in Santa Monica. The Axis East facility is considered to be the “most luxurious option” in the Axis Recovery network. Medically-monitored detox is also available on site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Axis bases its care on behavior modification, positive motivation, and collaboration between the client and his or her treatment team. Treatment combines** evidence-based modalities,12-step principles, and holistic activities**. The length of treatment varies, but most clients stay for at least 90 days. However, the facility offers 30, 60, 90, and 120 day treatment plans based on each client’s needs.
The treatment process begins with an initial phone interview to prequalify clients for the treatment programs. Clients work with admissions specialists to identify their needs and to ensure that clients will have access to the appropriate resources to facilitate their recovery. Clients schedule a time for an admissions meeting at the facility where they are assessed by a team of medical and psychological personnel. This assessment is used to create an individualized treatment plan with specializations for each client’s unique condition and needs. Counselors help design treatment program with specialized tracts that focus on each client’s most pressing concerns to address problem behaviors.
During individual and group therapy, family counseling, and a variety of workshops, clients and staff utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). Medical care and medication management are provided when needed.
Physical and recreational therapies are also made available as a part of the treatment process, and specific activities are recommended as a part of a tailored treatment plan. These activities include art therapy, yoga, and physical fitness activities. In a holistic approach, the facility also offers nutrition counseling as well as other therapy options including hypnotherapy and acupuncture.
Aftercare services including sober living support and continued care planning are provided during the treatment process. Clients are encouraged to establish support networks including attending meetings in their local communities. The facility can help clients develop their support network by establishing contact with group leaders and help clients find appropriate options for continued care.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
