Nestled in the San Bernardino mountains, Serenity Lodge in Lake Arrowhead, Calif. operates programs exclusively for men seeking treatment for alcoholism, drug addiction, and co-occurring disorders. Clients can choose from a residential program, intensive outpatient program (IOP), or a partial hospitalization program (PHP) available through a partnership between Serenity Loge and a third-party group. The treatment process begins with a comprehensive assessment. ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
All residents stay in private rooms with queen beds, TVs, kitchens, and laundry facilities. The facility is able to house a maximum of 48 clients at a time. The facility, set on a 22-acre property, is peaceful and cabin-like with plenty of outdoor meeting spaces. There are a wide variety of amenities available on-site, including a movie theater, meditation pyramid, indoor racquetball court, library, gym, sauna, basketball court, and an outdoor swimming pool. Although the anonymous alum rated the program’s counseling options and staff level of experience four out of five stars, they gave only two stars for its treatment of co-occurring disorders, family participation, and exercise/leisure activities.
