La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center

La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center Los Angeles California

La Fuente recognizes the need to treat the whole individual when it comes to substance abuse, and to involve peers and family so that each client learns how to build a solid network of support. The facility believes that the compulsion to abuse drugs and alcohol can be arrested, but only with professional treatment and a long-term recovery plan. La Fuente offers individuals the opportunity to create such a plan, involving personalized care designed according to the unique needs and recovery goals of each and every client.

ABOUT LA FUENTE HOLLYWOOD TREATMENT CENTER

La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center offers a full continuum of care for adults struggling with addiction. Located in the heart of Hollywood, Calif., in a residential area, the facility specializes in providing LGBT-focused care, and offers a variety of treatment options, including residential, outpatient, and sober living programs. Medical detoxification services are offered on-site and specialized treatment is provided for those with co-occurring disorders.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at La Fuente is individualized and combines evidence-based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with 12-step principles. Clients undergo a comprehensive physical and psychological evaluation prior to admittance to determine the appropriate level of care.

The LGBT-focused program focuses on recovery from a variety of substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, party drugs (GHB, ecstasy, ketamine), alcohol, and prescription medications, as well as issues that commonly affect this population, such as discrimination, homophobia, and sexual identity.

The residential program is divided into three stages and typically spans 30 to 60 days. It begins with detox, if needed, combined with a highly-structured schedule of daily treatment activities, including education on the disease of addiction, counseling, therapy, peer support, and 12-step participation.

The second phase shifts to developing and solidifying the skills to reintegrate into society. The final stage is spent in the sober living community, where clients maintain a relationship with sponsors and abide by daily check-ins, standard curfews, and drug testing, and perform routine household duties.

Spiritual awareness and physical exercise are components of the program, and clients regularly participate in activities such as meditation and yoga. Fitness consultants and dietary experts create specialized exercise regimens and daily menus. A two-day family program is offered for loved ones, providing education on addiction and a dinner gathering with clients and other families.

Outpatient treatment includes a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP). PHP typically involves up to six hours per day, while the IOP entails three hours per day.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The one alum polled by Best-rehabs.com to date provided unfavorable feedback. The former client offered neutral ratings at best for the major categories of the survey: one out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, two stars for accommodations and amenities, and three stars for meals and nutrition. The alum shared a harrowing story about their stay at the facility, from lack of attention and an injury to an uncomfortable detox experience and billing concerns. “They are there to get you in and then push you out to flip your bed,” the alum wrote.

In stark contrasts, secondary review sites revealed highly positive alumni opinions to date: perfect five stars based on eight reviews on Google; 4.9 out of five stars based on 27 reviews on Facebook, which the organization can manage; and a perfect five- star rating on Yelp.

Reviewers (alumni, staff, others) praised the clinical team, “attention to detail,” and “grounded recovery structure” that helped clients achieve their goals, expressed in a representative review by Robert on Yelp: “Thank you for the love. And my life.” On Google, alum Russell compared the facility favorably to other programs in the area, writing: “I greatly preferred the pro-LGBTQ ambience of La Fuente.”

WHAT STAFF SAY

The one staff member polled by Best-rehabs.com to date submitted mixed feedback. C.K. awarded the facility five stars for supporting patients’ best interests and staff experience and training, as well as four out of five stars for honesty in marketing. Although C.K. felt that the strengths of the facility were its “clean and specialized programs for each client,” they claimed the rules and protocols were “not adjusted to meet up to date standards which hurts patients and staff.”

Of note, C.K.’s opinions do not align with staff members referenced in the Google reviews above, all six of whom awarded perfect five stars to the facility. “La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center is an amazing program and I am proud to be a part of it,” one employee wrote.

FINANCING

The facility does not disclose fees online at this time of this writing. Private insurance is accepted, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, and United Healthcare, and financial assistance is offered.

La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center Reviews

This is a great place if you are LGBTQ and seeking treatment. This place is like a beautiful home and not a treatment center. The staff is LGBTQ. The rules are like any other treatment center. You're not in treatment for messages and jacuzzis . If you want real help come here and you will get it. It is 12 step . They treat you like family, and you leave here a part of a big community and alumni. This is not a 30 days and done type of place either. This is the only place in town that specializes in the LGBTQ Community. This is a special place. I highly recommend it. There are not a lot of places like this one. You will get real help, real treatment here. You will be seen. You can't hide here. This place is only 10 beds and intimate.
This is a beautiful place ! Does not feel like a treatment center but more like a home . You are truly family when you are here . There’s a sober living attached you can go to finish treatment after your 30 days. Staff is friendly and mirror what LGBTQ sober people are. This is the only rehab like this in L.A. they exclusively treat the LGBTQ community . I was able to talk about all the issues that effect me being in the community and an addict . If you want loose rules and to focus on everything else other than your addiction go to passages . La Fuente will take you through real treatment and the twelve steps. I wasn’t there to complain about rules like some others . I was there to get better and start living . The rules however are like any other treatment center . I can’t stress enough how special this place is . It does not feel like a rehab . I have a new family and community . I’m truly home at La Fuente . Thank you Manny , Christina , Dr. Lockwood , Micheal , and Vivían .
La Fuente Hollywood Treatment Center is magical. What makes La Fuente stand out from other treatment centers is that they connect you to a sober community. Something that is often put on the client to develop after treatment. The clients here build a strong foundation for continued recovery and support. La Fuente offers a variety of services which include daily 12 step support groups, art therapy, yoga, and a monthly family program for clients loved ones. If you want to hide in treatment, La Fuente is not for you. La Fuente will see you, all of you and help reconnect you back to your best self. When you leave La Fuente, you leave with a life long family.
It was amazing! I met some great sober people and was able to work on myself.
They are there to get you in and then push you out to flip your bed. Had injury that was totally ignored by staff. Detox was spent in the waiting room for 6+ hours in agonizing pain, humiliated. My parents were called to say I was not cooperating while I was in heavy sedation. Visitation twice a week for 30 minutes of an incredibly arrogant and ineffective counselor. Eventually driven out, collected their cash and stuck me with non-stop bills that were outside of the original payment agreement. Had an opportunity at another facility who, a day before my check in spoke to La Fuente and suddenly my acceptance was revoked and the new facility cut communication from me, my family, my doctor and my counselor. I had already given up my job, apartment, etc. I lost everything.
