ABOUT SOUTH COAST COUNSELING, INC.
Located in Costa Mesa, California, South Coast Counseling, Inc. (SCC) has a rich history of almost 50 years in treating adults who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Our center offers residential and outpatient programming, although detox services are not provided on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, clients undergo comprehensive psychological tests and assessments. Our on-staff therapists use these clinical findings to create individualized treatment plans for each client.
At South Coast Counseling, we employ a disease-model approach to treating substance abuse. We utilize a wide variety of therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as cinema and art therapy. Our clients participate in individual counseling, group therapy, addiction education workshops, life skills training, and 12-step groups.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Our center’s counseling and therapy staff is led by a leadership team that includes medical doctors, a licensed clinical psychologist, and a certified alcohol and drug counselor who is also an intervention specialist. We maintain a staff-to-client ratio of 3:1, providing an intimate and personalized treatment experience.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Our 16-bed facility, located a few minutes from the beach in Hollywood, Florida, offers semi-private, comfortably furnished rooms in a large main residence. Our professional chef prepares healthy and nutritious meals that are served family style each evening. While we do not provide luxury amenities, our residents have access to wireless internet, cable TV, and laundry facilities, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing home-like environment.

FINANCING
South Coast Counseling offers treatment at different rates: $500 for one day, $15,000 for one month, and $45,000 for 90 days. Some financial assistance is available, and we accept various private insurance companies, including Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
