At TRIBE, we believe in abstinence and monitor it through various methods such as random urinalysis, breathalyzers, toxicology screenings, and frequent house drug searches. Nevertheless, we also recognize the importance of harm reduction and meet each individual at their level of acceptance, commitment, and stage of change.
At TRIBE, we believe that recovery is an ongoing process that requires commitment followed by action. Therefore, residents are expected to work towards their vocational, educational, and therapeutic goals on an individual basis.
At TRIBE, we understand that not all individuals respond to the same recovery methods. While we strongly recommend involvement in a 12-step program, we also introduce and expose residents to alternative recovery paths such as SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, Dharma Punx-Refuge Recovery, LifeRing, Rational Recovery, and more.
At TRIBE, we are committed to helping each individual find the support group and recovery program that best suits their needs. We believe that no one can successfully navigate this journey alone and that everyone needs a strong circle of support. ABOUT TRIBE INTEGRATIVE RECOVERY
Located just 30 minutes from Malibu in beautiful Camarillo, Calif., Tribe Integrative Recovery operates a sober-living facility conveniently situated near an outpatient clinic that they also operate. Surrounded by mountains, the outpatient center offers specialized treatment tracks for older adults and young adults with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The center views addiction as a chronic, recurring condition and believes that recovery is an individualized process. Treatment at Tribe Integrative Recovery involves a combination of individual psychotherapy, recovery coaching, group sessions, neurofeedback, neurofitness, and family therapy. While attendance at 12-step meetings is encouraged, clients are also given the opportunity to explore alternate recovery paths such as SMART Recovery and Celebrate Recovery.
The center utilizes a wide array of evidence-based treatment modalities including eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP).
Within a supportive community atmosphere, clients participate in age-specific programming. The specialized Legacy track is designed for adults over the age of 40 with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. This track offers groups on anxiety and depression, grief and loss, cultivating spirituality, wellness, and holistic pain management. The Millennial program for young adults utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, early recovery skills groups, expressive arts therapy, and experiential therapies such as equine therapy and a ropes course. Both tracks include individual therapy and recovery coaching twice weekly, as well as family or couples sessions once a week.
Weekly friends and family support groups, multi-family groups, and monthly intensive family workshops engage loved ones in the recovery process. Discharge planning begins at the start of outpatient treatment, and the center provides supportive services for alumni through regular phone calls and alumni events.
