The McCall House is a residential drug and alcohol rehab for designed for individuals who have already completed a primary inpatient treatment program. Based in northern Connecticut, the McCall Center for Behavioral Health is a private nonprofit that offers prevention and recovery services for individuals struggling with substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. This facility, McCall House, offers structured residential services for adult men and women. Medically monitored detox is not available at this facility.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at the McCall House starts with an appointment for a thorough assessment with a counselor who will recommend the appropriate level of care and create a personalized recovery plan.
The program at McCall House is described as “a comprehensive recovery program that provides structure, research-based support and counseling in a nurturing environment.” It aims to help clients reintegrate into society by focusing on relapse prevention as well as educational, vocational, and employment assistance; counseling; and structured living. The center’s staff fosters connections with local employers for the benefit of McCall House residents.
Treatment at McCall House is heavily based on the 12-Steps. It includes specialized counseling groups including a dual diagnosis group, individual and group counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Family participation is highly encouraged to promote more successful treatment outcomes.
McCall Center for Behavioral Health employs a psychiatrist, social workers, and addictions counselors.
