TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to Twelve Oaks Recovery’s website, once clients are admitted to the residential treatment center, they are assigned to a primary counselor who creates an individualized treatment plan. Residential treatment typically lasts 28 days, but the exact length of stay is contingent on the client’s needs and progress.

Treatment combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with participation in 12-step groups, process groups, educational lectures, holistic activities such as yoga, and relapse-prevention and continuing-care planning. Twelve Oaks Recovery encourages families to participate in the treatment process.

Specialized program tracks, such as the Christian-based track, incorporate areas of focus and approaches that best suit the needs and preferences of the client. For instance, the Christian track incorporates biblical teachings and spiritual counseling into programming, while the veterans track may address post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD).

Typically lasting 30 days, PHP involves six hours of daily programming and follows similar scheduling as residential care. Clients participate in individual, group, and family counseling, experiential therapies, and 12-step participation. Medication management is also available to those struggling with co-occurring disorders.

IOP usually lasts eight weeks with meetings held three days per week. The IOP includes individualized treatment planning, group therapy, and awareness classes. All clients who graduate from a program at Twelve Oaks has access to lifelong continuing care.

Twelve Oaks Recovery Center Reviews

Horrible, terrible. Dont go
I spent a month at 12 Oaks for alcoholism and I was greatly disappointed in the quality of the program. From the initial detox through group meetings, the lack of professionalism was outrageous and systemic. I'm my experience, many of the folks providing therapy needed it more than the patients. The always overcrowded situation resulted in little to no actual personal counciling. Multiple repeat classes (the same class over and over again) where the instructor read the words on the PowerPoint slides without adding context. There were a few folks working there that were competent and I appreciate their efforts, but I would only go to this facility as an absolute last resort!
The staff are thieves, and they won't just steal your cash they"ll also use your credit card. I was there for five days and saw both. avoid this place
