ABOUT MERIDIAN TREATMENT SOLUTIONS – LAUDERDALE BY THE SEA
Meridan Treatment Solutions operates 12 substance abuse facilities. The Lauderdale by the Sea location in Florida provides outpatient, inpatient, intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and partial hospitalization programming for adult men and women dealing with co-occurring disorders. Detoxification is not offered on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Lauderdale by the Sea begins outpatient and partial hospitalization treatment with a clinical and medical assessment to develop a treatment plan.
The partial hospitalization day program (PHP) is a 30 to 90 day program that begins at 8 a.m and ends at 5 p.m. The day and night program includes 25 hours of treatment each week during evenings and weekends.
Intensive outpatient programming typically lasts 60 to 180 days and provides 12 hours of treatment each week.
Inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization services all incorporate the 12-Steps and individual and group therapy. Experiential activities include acupuncture, yoga, massage therapy, and exercise.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Merdan Treatment Centers employs a medical director, program director, nurse, primary therapists, psychologists, counselors, case managers, a family counselor, a fitness trainer, and a dietitian.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Clients live in modern, gender-specific housing with well-appointed rooms, spacious living areas, and rooftop patios.

Five alumni have been polled by Best-rehabs.com to date. Two alumni gave perfect five-star ratings to Meridan’s treatment effectiveness, accommodations, and meal quality. However, two anonymous reviewers left one-star reviews for treatment effectiveness. One individual called treatment “lackluster” while another simply wrote: “This place wasn’t great.”
One alum, J.H., praised the one-on-one sessions at the facility. “This facility made sure that their mission was upheld and it took time with the clients,” they wrote.
Reviewer Kathleen wrote: I just feel that the people that own/run the facility really don’t care and some of the counselors made me feel like I didn’t matter and they didn’t care.
On YellowPages.com, nine reviewers gave Meridan Treatment Solutions an average of three stars out of five. Five-star reviewer Tyrone commented: “The staff were very helpful with getting adjusted and the living quarters are superb.” However, one-star reviewer Kadie wrote: “Staff member stated get your last hit before you come here wow.. this place should be investigated for patient and staff relationship totally unprofessional.”
Six individuals gave Lauderdale by the Sea an average of 4.3 stars on Google. R.K. wrote in a representative review: “Meridian is a great place with the most caring staff I’ve ever encountered.”
