About G&G Healthcare Services

Situated between downtown Miami and Fort Lauderdale, G&G Healthcare Services provides medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for adults dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

Treatment & Assessment

G&G’s two-phase treatment program takes a holistic approach to mind, body, and spirit. In Phase I, clients receive over 40 hours per week of individual, group, and family therapy in a residential setting. In Phase II, clients participate in a three-week IOP program focused on relapse prevention, receiving over 35 hours per week of care.

During counseling sessions, clients engage in specialized treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), hypnosis, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Clients also attend off-site 12-step meetings, develop important life skills, and receive support in their educational and vocational pursuits.

Holistic therapies play an important role in our program. Clients attend yoga and meditation sessions, as well as auricular acupuncture. Each day begins with a nondenominational “morning spiritual” activity where clients practice mindfulness and set achievable goals. Additionally, we offer a ropes course every 30 days to improve self-esteem and confidence.

All clients receive free aftercare for life, which includes access to a weekly aftercare group and weekly phone calls with our clinical staff. We also cover the cost of four therapy sessions in the client’s home area after they have completed treatment.

Staff Credentials

Our staff includes a clinical director who is a master’s level counselor, a physician assistant, chefs, a nutritionist, and 24/7 on-site medical staff.

Accommodations & Amenities

Our amenities include a fitness program that offers gym and karate classes. Clients can also enjoy various types of massages, colonics, reiki, and spa visits. Our chefs prepare low carb, high protein meals designed by dietitians.

What Alumni Say

Out of the 29 alumni reports we have received, 23 have been positive and six have been negative. Satisfied alumni have expressed gratitude for the caring, amazing, and first-class staff, notably highlighting that some staff members are in recovery themselves. One alum stated, “Well rounded and compassionate. The owners/staff are in recovery. They understand!”

Reviewers also highly praised the extracurricular activities and holistic treatment methods, with three even stating that the facility saved their lives. One alum, Matt, recalled, “Their approach and methods were just what I needed to aid me in getting my life back. I am so grateful each and every day.”

However, some reviewers contradicted claims about the quality of the food. One reviewer, Steve, claimed that there are no individualized food plans and clients are expected to eat greasy, unhealthy food. Another alum, Ryan, agreed with this criticism. Steve also mentioned an excessive focus on the 12-Steps and a lack of advertised extracurricular activities, aftercare, and personalized treatment.

Other critics mentioned a lack of mental health options, feeling neglected, and suspicion of financial motivations from those in charge.

What Friends & Family Say

Out of the three loved ones who submitted surveys, two had positive experiences with the facility. One praised the holistic options available and credited them with their loved one’s commitment to sobriety. However, another loved one reported a lack of aftercare for their spouse.

Financing

According to our published brochure, a four-week residential stay at G&G costs $23,800, and three weeks of IOP amount to $10,800. We accept insurance and offer financing options.

G & G Healthcare Services Reviews

Went there in January of 2017 and it was a nightmare. Food was terrible, staff was always rude and yelling at the clients. I woke one night to find an attendant asleep on my coach in the room, television on. I reported him and he was at work the next night. We were told if we left early insurance wouldn’t pay and we’d be personally responsible for the full amount of the full program. They wanted us to give over credit cards, bank cards and checks, to be kept safe! One catch was we had to load a prepaid card issued by these people to use at their store. Programs consisted of one group and one private session with a therapist and then classroom work like high school. The counselor came in , spoke for a moment and put on a 45 minute video, when it ended group was over, 20 minutes till next group then rinse, repeat. This may be a place for a transient trying to get out of the heat but not for anyone to to detox and learn to be sober. I give it a 1/2 star only because of the exit to get to a caring and healing that actually helped me to get sober. G &G is a horrible scam, the owners and executives should be prosecuted and the place shut down. Reimbursement is due to clients and insurance companies. Thanks for reading my rant.
I went to g&g a couple of times and staff was incredible I called to get a friend in and was spoken down to and treated like a scum bag. I will never recommend anyone to you just on the basis of the way I was talked down to and called belligerent just for asking questions and the staff was completely replaced no one that helped me get sober is gone and no questions were answered in any polite form so I will NEVER recommend y’all just on the basis for how I was treated it’s a shame that people are dying out here and I refuse to recommend y’all ever again I wish I could speak with the owner but he also refused that as well. Feel free to contact me to resolve the situation but I’m afraid that won’t happen either
G&G was horrible. The accommodations were an old hotel in what appeared to be a ghetto. The staff, minus a few, were angry bossy and yelling st people constantly. I woke up one night to find an overnight staff member asleep on my couch with the television on. The kitchen staff would give certain clients double portions and when others would ask for extra they became belligerent. All they ever served was chicken. I would recommend anyone to stay away from this place, it's a rip off. One staff member goes so far to you you're going to die if you don't stay longer. I had to leave and find another. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE!
Not a bad place , something's could have been better , chicken , chicken , chicken . The staff is caring , more one on one with therapist would of been better , I relapsed because I didn't do what I was supposed to do . I jumped right back in the frying pan. I have since been to Mcleans hospital up here in Ma. I'm doing better in an outpatient program . I would go back there if I had to which I hope I never do. One day at a time !
I had a wonderful experience at G & G Holistic and would recommend it to anyone who is really wanting to change their lives!
