ABOUT GOOD FUTURE REHAB CENTER

Located in Southern Florida’s Del Ray Beach, Good Future Rehab Center, formerly known as Good Future Teen Rehab, is a dual diagnosis facility treating adolescents and adults who struggle with chemical dependency. The facility provides medical outpatient detox, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient (IOP) program, and a general outpatient (OP) program.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Treatment at this facility is heavily grounded in the 12-Steps, and adheres to a combination of the alcoholics anonymous (AA) model of addiction as a disease along with the medical model. Clients engage in individual, group, and family therapy, and staff utilize a wealth of methods including motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

The facility also promotes wellness through life coaching, equine therapy, yoga, music and art therapy, as well as groups for exploring spirituality. Individualized treatment tracks can aid those in need of treatment for opiate, cocaine, alcohol, and other addictions. Co-occurring mental health disorders such as bipolar disorder, panic disorder, and depression may also be treated.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The facility employs a 24/7 certified behavioral technician, as well as a medical director, a clinical director, and several therapists.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Residents enjoy upscale accommodations including a pool, “luxury single family homes,” and a plethora of outdoor activities, according to the facility’s website. Images showcase cozy dining and seating areas. Clients may also engage in regular nature walks and access the nearby beach.

Additionally, transportation to the treatment facility is available every single day to help clients attend their sessions.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Three former clients of this facility provided feedback to Best-rehabs.com to date, and reviews were mixed. Jen gave five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness and said, “I loved it here, saved myself and my marriage. Amazing place with amazing people!!!!!” Additionally, O.H., who provided no star ratings, wrote: “I did enjoy my time at Good Future teen rehab. The management was competent the therapist astute and the food reasonable.”

Alum, A.B., though reported a very negative experience. Giving one out of five stars in all three categories rated (treatment effectiveness, accommodations and amenities, and meals and nutrition), they wrote: “It’s an unimaginably awful environment to try to stay clean in. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!” The same reviewer noted that when clients relapse, the facility bumps them back to the beginning of the program, leading the alum to believe that “The people who “run” this facility are quite obviously only in it for the money and not the right reasons like trying to help people like me with their drug addictions.”

Reviews appearing elsewhere online at the time of this writing are just as mixed. The only positive review comes from Sharon who awarded the facility five out of five stars on its official Facebook page, which the facility has the ability to edit.[1] She also wrote: “Great place and wonderful caring staff.” The other two reviewers both awarded just one star and said they believed staff “are just in it for the money.” An additional review on Yellowpages.com is also negative. Corey awarded one star and left a comment that echoed A.B.[2] “If you want to stay at a halfway house and get high this is the place for you! If you want to get clean, well thats definetly not going to happen here.”

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

In line with what many alumni have expressed, G.L., the single loved one to provide Best-rehabs.com with feedback for Good Future Rehab Center to date, reported a disappointing experience with the rehab. They gave just one star for treatment effectiveness and wrote of the accommodations and meals: “The place is dirty, all they feed the kids is fast food and hot pockets. It is nothing like what the website claims.” The same reviewer continued by saying, “The absolute worst place to send someone trying to get help. They never once called after to follow up on our son either.”

WHAT STAFF SAY

At the time of this writing, two staffers have provided Best-rehabs.com with negative feedback for Good Future Rehab Center. S.S. provided low ratings and wrote: “Take it from a former employee, this place does NOT live up to ANYTHING good. I feel sad for parents who trust this shady place with their teens.” Additionally, an anonymous staffer complained about not having a say in their schedule and wrote: “I work here please do not send your loved ones here.”

FINANCING

The facility accepts most major insurance providers, including Humana, Aetna, and United Health. For those without insurance, self-pay is accepted, and the center may work out a different payment arrangement.

Good Future Rehab Center Reviews

It's been a few years since I attended the program and it sounds like there's a new owner but I did enjoy my time at Good Future teen rehab. The management was competent the therapist astute and the food reasonable. If your kid has a sincere desire to stop then it really doesn't matter where they go.

  • This is the GOD's HONEST TRUTH: Take it from a former employee, this place does NOT live up to ANYTHING good. I feel sad for parents who trust this shady place with their teens. New owner is worse then previous. PLEASE do not go here if you REALLY want to heal or get help for your addictions. There are many BETTER places.
I work here please do not send your loved ones here, the people that work here don't even have a voice over anything not even their own schedule. So what makes you think your loved one does.

  • Do NOT send your child here!! The place is dirty, all they feed the kids is fast food and hot pockets. It is nothing like what the website claims. We brought our son there. It was heartbreaking for us to leave him but we thought he would get the help he needed. They charged our insurance outrageous amounts and we had to pay extra for the meals, which was just junk food. The absolute worst place to send someone trying to get help. They never once called after to follow up on our son either. Don't be fooled like we were. I would give them a zero rating if I could.

  • If I could rate this place a big fat 0, I would!! The owner is...trying to feed his pockets ..I (somehow) managed to live in the homes that this program owns and runs for over 9 months. All I have to say after that experience is, this is THE WORST PLACE YOU CAN EVER BE IF YOU'RE AN ADDICT! If I could've left sooner, I would have....When you relapse and get high, they send you to their PHP program so that they can rake more money out of your insurance instead of actually doing the right thing by kicking you out of the program like the rest of these programs would do. It's an unimaginably awful environment to try to stay clean in. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! The therapists, on the other hand, weren't as bad as the rest of the place was. If not for them I wouldn't have lasted as long as I did there. If you're considering sending a loved one here, please rethink it. If you want them to have any kind of shot at staying sober, this place should be your last option. The people who "run" this facility are quite obviously only in it for the money and not the right reasons like trying to help people like me with their drug addictions. It's pretty sad that I felt it necessary to write this review but if I can deter even one person away from this god-awful program then I will have done my job. ... Please spread the word if anyone you know or you yourself have been to this sad place, the more we can tell the poor people trying their damnest to stay clean about places like this, the better shot they'll actually have. Thanks everyone, and good luck on your journey on the bright and glorious road to recovery!!!
