TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

In Waves of Grace, Recovery Coast’s Christian Counseling program, clients attend daily counseling groups and one-on-one and family sessions weekly. The traditional treatment curriculum is balanced with teachings from the Scripture through weekly Bible study.

In addition to 12-step based programming and talk therapy, clients are offered alternative avenues for self-expression and greater self-awareness through yoga, art, and music therapy. Sailing trips on a 42-foot catamaran provide opportunities for learning patience, humility, and team skills. Licensed yoga teachers conduct hour-long sessions multiple times per week.

Recovery Coast also offers a Family Weekend program, inviting family members and significant others to participate. This program offers conflict resolution and training, discharge planning, and more.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Recovery Coast employs a physician with experience in addiction medicine and psychiatry as well as a Family Weekend Leader who is both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an ordained minister. The Waves of Grace program director is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and holds a Doctorate of Theology. Some staff members are also in recovery themselves.

  • I believe that the staff are unprofessional, especially the Clinical Director. If you go anywhere for treatment in Jacksonville Florida I would recommend going to Lakeview Health.

  • Their iop program is very poor mainly consists of filling out questionnaires with no feedback. Hoing to the park, socalled therapy with a rocker in recovery. No professional mental health counseling. Relapse is easy there because jax beach is a mecca for partying at local watering holes. Thrown out on ear if relapse and not help gotten. Do not send anyone here.
Hellhole. Disorganized. The worst place in the world. Faulty drug tests. You will end up in a homeless shelter with nothing after they throw you out on the street. DONT GO!!!
