ABOUT STEPPINGSTONES TO RECOVERY
Steppingstones, located in Augusta, Georgia, is an outpatient facility with a referral service for more serious recovery options. It treats substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. The center also has a contract with a men’s recovery residence that provides sober living, support, and oversight to those in recovery.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
One of 107 intensive outpatient programs in Georgia (34 percent), Steppingstones offers a 30-session program. The sessions are 3 hours each over a 6-week period following successful detox, on a part-time yet intensive schedule, designed to accommodate work and family life. The center also offers services for co-occurring mental health disorders.
Steppingstones contracts with a men’s residential facility called “The Awakening Center,” a local supportive, structured living environment for men who are in recovery from alcohol and/or drugs.
Steppingstones also offers a family workshop for all close friends, employers, and loved ones. It also encourages the use of aftercare services to clients for a year after discharge by offering once-weekly meetings.
