ABOUT ANTIOCH RECOVERY CLUB

Located a couple hours north of Chicago, the Antioch Recovery Club is a community center for men and women in recovery from addiction. The club is not a treatment facility or counseling center. Rather, it hosts numerous 12-step meetings throughout each day, as well as sober social events for members and their families.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Participation at Antioch Recovery Club is membership-based, and anyone in recovery may join by applying via the facility’s website, and members utilize it for meetings, fellowship, and 12-step work with sponsors and/or sponsees.

All club meetings are based on the 12-step program. The facility hosts both open and closed meetings facilitated by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Al-Anon Family Groups, Heroin Anonymous (HA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Overeaters Anonymous (OA). Closed meetings are restricted to members and prospective members of Antioch Recovery Club, while open meetings are available for students, professionals, and other non-members to attend.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

As Antioch Recovery Club is not a treatment facility, no clinical staff are employed. Those who serve members of the facility do so on a voluntary basis. Most activities are committee-run, and members have an opportunity to serve on the center’s board.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Benefits include use of the club’s Wi-Fi, TV, pool table, and arcade/board games. The club is open 365 days per year.
