ABOUT SCHAUMBURG INTERVENTIONS
Schaumburg Interventions and Counseling Center, located in Schaumburg, Ill. offers outpatient therapy and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults struggling with opioid addiction. Treatment is offered in a private medical practice, and the facility’s website indicates that they have significantly high program compliance and retention rates.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The facility’s treatment program offers individual, group, and family therapy in addition to the medication clinic. Psychiatric services are also offered to treat a variety of diagnoses, including attention deficit disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety disorder.
Participants of the medication-assisted treatment program receive either methadone or Suboxone/buprenorphine administered by the clinic as prescribed by the treating psychiatrist. Treatment facilities in Illinois utilizing methadone make up only 9.5 percent of all facilities in the state.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Schaumburg Interventions’ treatment team includes a psychiatrist, as well as other treatment staff who run individual and group therapy sessions.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
While no alumni have been polled by Best-rehabs.com as of this writing, Schaumburg Interventions received mixed feedback which skewed negative on secondary review sites. On Google, the facility received a rating of 2.5 out of five stars based on 14 total reviews. One representative negative review from alum S.K. highlighted how they found the facility to be overpriced and further noted that the doctor was often late.
Conversely, alum Z.S. gave the facility five stars in a representative positive review and wrote: “THEY SAVED MY LIFE. I would like to thank the staff of Schaumburg Interventions for making my recovery as painless as possible.”
Reviews from eight alumni on Citehealth were also mixed. However, on the facility’s Facebook page, which Schaumberg Interventions can manage, the single reviewer gave the facility a rating of five out of five stars.
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
The sole loved one polled by Best-rehabs.com as of the time of this writing, gave a very positive review of the facility. In particular, the anonymous loved one gave perfect five-star ratings for the facility’s strong holistic offerings, its counseling options, and the staff’s level of experience and training. “Able to visit 7 days a week, meals was nice, friendly staff,” the alum wrote. She also indicating that she would recommend the facility to others.
Similarly, on Citehealth, the sole loved one to leave a review gave very positive feedback, giving the facility a perfect five-star rating. “After getting stabilized on medication, my boyfriend is back to his usual self with stable relationships, job and life in general,” the loved one wrote.
FINANCING
According to Healthgrove, the facility accepts insurance including state insurance (other than Medicaid) and Access to Recovery (ATR) vouchers. The facility does not publish their fees for services or provide any additional financing information on their website.
