TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital begins with a psychiatric, physical, and mental health assessment to determine a client’s specific treatment plan. Assessments are conducted by medical staff on-site by a team of qualified medical specialists. Clients in need of withdrawal assistance are immediately enrolled in the detox program.
Treatment consists of group counseling combined with the 12-step principles. Educational components for sober living skills and coping skills are also incorporated into treatment. The residential program lasts 30 days. Clients work with case managers to coordinate treatments.
Specialized programs are available for teenagers ages 13 to 18 with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The Teenage Recovery, Understanding Sobriety through Treatment (TRUST) program is available in outpatient and residential forms. The TRUST program utilizes treatment modalities such as Recovery Dynamics, which integrates 12-step and cognitive behavioral approaches. The Seven Challenges, curriculum designed specifically for adolescents with chemical dependency is used as well.
Services for seniors include psychiatric practices to help seniors address behavioral and psychiatric concerns that develop with aging. Services are provided through an outpatient program, and clients receive services and continuing psychiatric evaluations to monitor their health.
Aftercare planning services are incorporated in treatment options. Clients work with case managers to establish support networks and to find resources in their local communities.
