ABOUT CAPE COD ADDICTION COUNSELING
Cape Cod Addiction Counseling is the private practice of a licensed substance abuse counselor in Hyannis, Mass. Clients struggling with drug and alcohol addiction can receive counseling, assessments, and referrals, including Department of Transportation-related evaluations, recommendations, and treatment. Intervention services are also available, and the facility’s sole practitioner was previously affiliated with a team at Cape Cod Addictions Interventions. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients collaborate with the facility’s counselor to develop understanding, goals, and plans to solve their behavioral health problems. Cape Cod Addiction Counseling provides guidance and treatment for a range of emotional and behavioral health concerns, including co-occurring addictive and mental health disorders such as PTSD or anxiety. As a substance abuse professional, the counselor is authorized to facilitate mandated treatment for commercial drivers who have failed drug tests.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The sole practitioner has 30 years of experience and is licensed to practice counseling in Massachusetts and New Jersey, according to his website. He holds a certification in drug and alcohol counseling, trained in Gestalt technique, and has provided both inpatient and outpatient treatment.

The anonymous client gave the facility five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, four out of five stars for accommodations and amenities, and three out of five stars for meals and nutrition. When asked about strengths of the facility, the anonymous alum praised counseling, therapy and prevention, staff’s level of training and experience, and the facility’s affordability. “The person whom I saw the most was very kind, compassionate and nonjudgmental. I could tell she was truly interested in helping me by the way she treated me,” the alum said.
FINANCING
According to the facility’s website, a one-hour counseling session costs between $50 and $125 and a sliding fee scale is offered. No insurance coverage plans are accepted.
