ABOUT SURRENDER HOUSE
Located in a quaint house in Dearborn Heights, Mich., Surrender House Recovery Homes offers a 90-day residential program for men and women seeking relief from drug and alcohol abuse. Clients are encouraged to be enrolled in school or maintain employment to form a productive lifestyle and provide structure to their lives while in treatment. Surrender House has an additional facility located in the city of Southgate, just south of Detroit.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Surrender House is a 12-step facility and has an Advisory Board that directs staff and clients as they make crucial decisions. The facility is open to any individual who is recovering from alcohol or drugs. To enroll, clients must complete a phone assessment and then an intake appointment will be scheduled if the applicant meets the facility’s criteria.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Surrender House houses seven clients at a time and offers well furnished, clean homes that are maintained by clients themselves to teach them to be responsible so they can use these skills when they are living in their own homes. The facility’s homes have laundry facilities that are free of charge, a computer with internet, a Cable TV, and a phone. The facility is close to AA and NA meetings, job opportunities, shopping, churches, and bus lines.

One anonymous loved one polled by Best-rehabs.com to date rated Surrender House four out of five stars in most metrics measured, including counseling options, exercise and leisure options, and holistic treatment offerings. However, connectivity and cleanliness only received three stars, and affordability only two. When asked about the facility’s strengths and weaknesses, the loved one wrote “Good staff very friendly” and “Not the cleanese”, respectively. FINANCING
Program fees include weekly program dues upon entering the program and a non-refundable $100 entry fee. Costs of care are roughly $15 per day, $420 per month, and $1260 per three months. Insurance is not accepted.
