ABOUT TURNING POINT
Located in Southaven, Miss, which is about 13 miles south of Memphis, Tenn., Turning Point provides outpatient treatment to adult men and women struggling with substance use disorder or co-occurring disorders. Medically monitored detox services are available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients receive a comprehensive assessment upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care. Treatment at Turning Point is evidence-based and relies heavily on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). The facility also offers medication assisted treatment for opiate-dependent clients.
The facility’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) meets 20 hours a week, while the intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers 12 hours of weekly treatment. Both programs include group and individual therapy, and offer weekly aftercare meetings after successful graduation.
A family support program is available for loved ones and includes education, counseling, and support services.

Headed by two medical directors, the treatment team includes licensed therapists who are specially trained in DBT.
