ABOUT PINES & CADY HILL RECOVERY CENTER (PACH) IN COLUMBUS, MS

Pines & Cady Hill Recovery Center (PACH), located in Columbus, Miss., offers residential treatment to adults struggling with alcohol and/or drug addiction as well as co-occurring addiction and mental health diagnoses. The facility was founded in 1976 and is located in the heart of historic downtown Columbus, Mississippi.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The facility’s treatment program follows the 12-Step Model as well as other evidence-based methods. To be admitted, clients must make an appointment for a pre-admission assessment over the phone, complete the 40 minute assessment in person at the facility, and meet with an intake counselor. Most clients remain in treatment 30-90 days.

Three treatment tracks are available to clients at Pines & Cady Hill Recovery Center: Primary, Secondary, and Recovery Support. The Primary program is an intensive 30 day residential treatment for persons addicted to alcohol and drugs. The Secondary program offers the client an extended stay of at least 60 days. In the Secondary program, the individual receiving treatment is able to set their own schedule and leave the residential property daily. Recovery Support offers ongoing support for clients who have completed treatment. This program can last up to two years and consists of group meetings and regular check-in calls from a Recovery Support Specialist.

According to the facility’s website, families are encouraged to attend family counseling, stay in contact with clients during treatment, and attend Saturday Family Days at the facility. During Family Days, loved ones are welcome to attend a meeting, participate in craft projects, enjoy quiet time, or take part in picnics and games. The facility offers unique treatments and therapy including a music and art therapy studio.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

Pines & Cady Hill Recovery Center offers 28 beds for men and 16 beds for women in two semi-private residential halls. The facility has been newly renovated and includes a full-service cafeteria, outdoor green space, an indoor recreation room with exercise equipment, three living rooms, and a music and art therapy studio.

REVIEWS

At the time of this writing there has been one alum polled by Best-rehabs.com. Alum S.M. gave Pines & Cady Hill Recovery Center good marks overall. The alum gave the facility five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, five stars for accommodations & amenities, and five stars for meals & nutrition. S.M., who is between 26 and 39 years old, entered rehab for substance abuse based on a personal search. S.M. stayed for between 30 and 60 days, completed treatment successfully, and entered sober living after leaving the facility. S.M. has been out of the facility for more than a year. The client said the facility was worth the cost, adding that many staff members are recovering from alcoholism or substance abuse themselves. S.M. reported that she relapsed one year after leaving the program and re entered the facility at that time. She added additional commentary stating, “During the time I received treatment, there was only recovering addicts/alcoholics on staff. I feel they understood my disease more than someone who has never had an issue.”

On the facility’s CiteHealth page, there is an overall rating of four out of five stars based on one review. [1] The reviewer, a parent of a client, had good things to say about the facility. The anonymous loved one gave the facility five out of five stars for staff, three stars for care, three stars for the facility, and three stars for promptness. She wrote, “My daughter got sober there and stayed about 90 days including a secondary program that allowed her to have a job and have a little money when she left. They talk to the families about codependency and how not to enable them. Food was good. Also have some grants for those who can not pay.”
