ABOUT COXHEALTH – CENTER FOR ADDICTIONS
Located in Springfield, Mo., the CoxHealth Center for Addictions provides hospital-based substance abuse and mental health treatment to adults. The facility offers medically monitored inpatient detox services, along with partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment. A free continuing care program is available to those who have already completed treatment at the center.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients undergo an initial assessment upon admission to determine the appropriate course of care. After detox, the most intensive level of treatment offered at the Center is the PHP. Individuals in this program participate in a full day of treatment services five days a week, then return home in the evenings and on weekends. The IOP is offered in both day and evening formats and is held three to five times per week.
Both programs include individual, group, and family counseling, along with medication management services and medication-assisted therapy (including buprenorphine for opiate withdrawal) if needed.
Continuing care groups are offered free of charge to successful graduates and include relapse prevention planning and continued addiction education.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
The treatment team includes addictions counselors, social workers, interns, community support workers, case managers, physicians, licensed and registered nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other behavioral health support staff members.
