ABOUT DAYTOP NEW JERSEY – MENDHAM

Located on a 26-acre campus in Mendham, one of the residential treatment facilities is situated alongside The Academy, a full-day, recovery-based middle and high school that caters to individuals in the program as well as day students from the community. TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The treatment approach at The Academy and Daytop New Jersey is rooted in the principles of the 12-Steps and maintains a strong family-like structure. Each client receives a personalized treatment plan and works closely with both a psychiatrist and case manager throughout their stay. The treatment program places a strong emphasis on removing clients from negative environments that contribute to their substance abuse and related issues and immersing them in a supportive and conducive learning environment. Clients engage in various evidence-based and experiential therapies, including individual, group, and family counseling, music therapy, art therapy, and recreational activities. To enhance the recovery process, clients participate in a peer-based social learning model that encourages mutual support and encouragement. Additionally, attending school at The Academy is an integral part of the treatment program. The Academy offers small class sizes and follows a traditional school schedule to ensure that adolescents can continue their education while receiving treatment.
